Reviving the Ancient Gurukul Parampara

Founded in 2008, SPM Gurukul (SPM Pushpandaja Maharshi GuruPeetha Trust) was established in the serene village of Thapasihalli, near Dod Ballapur, Karnataka with one sacred mission: to transform lives through the timeless Gurukul tradition.

In our Ashram, children live as a family, learning not just academics but life values—Dharma, discipline, seva (service), and Sanskrit shlokas. We provide free education, sattvic bhojan (nutritious vegetarian food), and a loving home to orphaned and economically disadvantaged children.

Where Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Learning

Just as Lord Rama and Lord Krishna learned at the feet of their Gurus in the Ashram, our children receive holistic education that nurtures body, mind, and soul. The Guru-Shishya parampara (teacher-student tradition) is the foundation of our approach.

Children wake before sunrise for yoga and pranayama, chant Vedic mantras, study both traditional subjects and modern curriculum, participate in seva activities, and develop character through the timeless values of Sanatana Dharma.
